Lesley's Story
I went to school at BCIT and became a Nuclear Medicine technologist. My first job was in Brandon, Mb and then I moved to Lethbridge, Ab. When I was 29, I decided I wanted to see more of the world than Sweet Grass, Montana so I applied for and got a job in Saudi Arabia. I spent two years there and with 6 weeks of vacation a year, saw a lot more of the world. I went to UAE, Greece, London, Egypt, Thailand (twice), Washington, DC, St. Louis, and the Outer Banks, NC. I met and married an american (a paramedic). We got married twice, once in Dubai, just the 2 of us and again at Fort Steele with the family. When we finished our contract, we moved to Winston Salem, NC. We have two boys born in '95 and '97 in NC. I was home...Expand for more
sick for the west so we moved to Salt Lake City (2 years) then Las Vegas (5 years) and finally, Richland, Wa. It is only a 6 hour drive to Cranbrook so we drive up 2-3 times a year and see my family. We still like to travel. We took the boys to England and saw Stonehenge, Bath, and way too many museums (the boys' opinion) in London. Last summer we took our RV and drove over 5000 miles, 15 States in 16 days. Life is good.
In the last couple of years, I've developed a passion for jr. league hockey. Our local team, the Tricity Americans (it helps if you think of them as the "Ams" they're all Canadians, there isn't one American on the team) have a lot of heart. I'm a season ticket holder.
