Leslie's Story

Life For 6 years, after I graduated from college, I was a commodity trader/broker in Arizona. I represented farmers and hedged their crop. I was good at the analysis part of the job, but SUCKED at the math part (some things never change). (Which is most of the job.) Now I work for an agriculturally based technology company. I am the director for Support Services groups and manage "cream of the crop" <-- (I'm in agriculture, "crops" lol at the stupid joke) client accounts. In my job I travel a lot, usually spending 2-3 weeks of every month on the road. Unfortunately, most of my travels take me to small rural towns the size of Live Oak and Gridley, and not big cities,...Expand for more
like San Francisco or Phoenix. In 2001 I moved to North Carolina. I am learning to live with trees and rain again. And humidity, and bugs. I miss the desert! I belong to 3 book clubs and two dinner groups, plus my church. I have season tickets for the symphony and a membership in our local Art Museum. I like staying active, but I try not to have all my spare time filled up. I also enjoy ballet, the theater, jazz clubs, and blue grass music. I remain single. Keeping cactus alive as house plants is a major challenge. Something about their (cactus's, not men's) monthly need for water just doesn't work for me. Can you imagine how neglected a man would feel?</sarcasm>
