Leslie's Story
Life
Oh My! Under Pressure now! After El Dorado, I had my son, Alex, in '88. I met his Dad, my husband in '89. You do the math! We married in '91 and had Kathleen in '92. We lived in Rancho Cordova till '94 and relocated to S. Ca. We lived there miserably untill '98. I became pregnant and demanded that we "Go Home!". Emma blessed us in January '99 in Carmichael, CA. We made the big first home purchase in '04 and I started my own business. During the years I have mainly been in food service. Anything to pay the bills. I gave that up to raise the kids. I was a Longaberger Consultant for the past 13 years, which was so much fun. I recently gave that up for my home based business. I am a commercial embroiderer and love it. Now, my oldest, Alex, is in college and working. Kathleen is in High School and succeeding beyond my wildest dreams and Emma is in 2nd grade. My husband, Dan, is my best friend. We have had turmoil in our relationship, mostly during the miserable years in SoCal, but through it all, he has stayed pretty awesome. He puts up with me and makes me laugh when I just want everyone to leave me alone. He makes life wonderful! Our Home was a disaster zone when we purchased it. It is not a showplace or anywhere clos...Expand for more
e to it yet; but Dan has done all the repairs by himself. It is so wonderful to show it off and tell everyone that Dan Did It! So, Life is Beautiful!
Update...My beautiful son, Alex (20) is attending Culinary school. I am so proud that he has made his decision. I know he will succeed. My Princess Kathleen (16) is continuing her Honors classes as she enters her Senior year. She is a working "woman" now at Target. I could not be more proud. The Amazing miss "M", Emma (10), continues to wow me. She is keeping us so busy with Soccer, Softball, bowling and friends. Another smartie pants kid. She took first place in GATE for her Toothpick Bridge. It held up 25 LBS and came in under budget. She loves learning, and seems to be a sponge with everything. Of course, she is a "tween" and has her own distinctive view on the world. They are all keeping me young. My business seems to be booming in these rocky times. I must be good at what I do, even the Gov. had me monogram a gift for his Daughter. Of course, he does not know me for Beans, but I knew who the order was for. I am sure to have more tales to tell in the near future. For now, I would love to hear from good friends...lets see if this works.
