Lewis Dolan:  

After graduating from MDHS, I eventually ended up working for Disney (78-87). I am married to the former Jo Figgins (Tavares High, 76) in 1982. We've been married almost 27 years now. God called me into the Gospel Ministry while I was working for Disney, and I returned to school to complete my BA in Speech Communication at UCF. We had a still-born son, then a healthy daughter born to us while we were there. From there I moved my family to New Orleans where I attended New Orleans Baptist Seminary, where I received my Master of Divinity with a dual major of pastoral ministry and biblical studies. Our youngest daughter was born while there. I pastored a small church down near the mouth the Mississippi in the community of Buras, LA. Buras was ground-zero when Katrina came ashore, and the church building no longer exists. While in seminary I became involved with the Navy Chaplain Corps, and I left this church to go on active duty as a Navy Chaplain. While with the Navy, we had tours in Mayport, FL (destroyer squadron staff), Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, and Coast Guard District 13 (OR & WA). I left active duty and returned to the Reserves and I also became the pastor of a medium-sized church in Concord, CA.
