Lhisa's Story
Life
After leaving N.W. Arkansas in 1978, I worked in the field of banking almost immediately and from there investment banking, moving to my present employer First Tennessee/FTN Financial, who is one of the largest government dealers for fixed income securities in the world in 1988. I was one of only 20 salespeople, the only female, and we now have over 300, with offices in 28 states. Watching it grow has been a great ride. I began racing triathlons in my 40's after my son left for college. That has been great fun, and I have met a lot of wonderful people and raced in a lot of great events. hills of N.W. Arkansas. My husband and I have a farm east of Memphis and are building a new home with kennels and barn to accomodate about 40 American foxhounds and several horses who jump, some who have become "yard ornaments". My husband is the Master of Foxhounds for Oak Grove Hunt, founded in 1946. I don't ride, leaving that to the expert I am married to, but can road whip with the best of 'em in my ATV. The fun and companionship is as priceless as the morning sun rising to handsome horses and hounds as they prepare for the chase. At the end of the day, I pet hounds and doctor cuts and sore pads and hose down horses and rub the tired huntsman's back.
