Lila's Story
Life
I was always a pretty quiet, shy kid. I believe that I succeeded at being almost invisible in high school. Although, I know there are those who remember me as well as I remember them. Well... I'm not so quiet anymore. Bless his heart and rest his soul, my first husband found and nurtured my sense of humor. If I can make someone laugh, my day is complete.
After being widowed in November of 1999, I met Wally in 2001 and we were married in May of 2004. My new name is Lila Lolies! (Ly-lah Low-lees) It's a mouthful! LOL I dare ya to say it three times fast without flubbing it. LOL
We live a quiet life in a small valley ranch town, down the eastern slope of the Sierras from the southern end of the Lake Tahoe Basin in Northern Nevada and enjoy every minute of it When I first met my husband, I used to think to myself, "it just doesn't get any better than this..." But... I have to rethink that, because he's always proving me wrong. Life with him keeps getting better every day... ~smile~ Life is good indeed. If you're ever in the Lake Tahoe or Carson City area, look us up. My husband spends a good deal of time at sea, so I always welcome visitors...

rong and loves every minute of it. He has sea salt in his blood for sure. He's full of sass and always up for a good tease or laugh.
Neither of us had children of our own. But between the two of us, we have dozens of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and even a couple of great great nieces and nephews to spoil. And there are kids in our neighborhood who view us as bonus grandparents. ~smile~
Because of a slight stutter, my husband has always been known to his family as "Porky". When our niece, an ordained Lutheran Pastor, came from Canada to carry out our marriage ceremony, she stated that I needed an appropriate nickname as well. On our wedding day, she gave me my new name. Upon pronouncing us man and wife, she introduced us to our wedding guests as her darlin' "Uncle Porky and Aunt Lollipop"! Needless to say, that combined with the Mickey & Minnie Mouse wedding cake topper (Wally's a big Mickey fan) and the Mouse Ears we wore when we cut the wedding cake, it all set the tone for a very fun wedding day.
I am now retired and enjoy being a housewife and "Mama" to our cute & mischievious Beagle. I putter around the internet and have built a circle of friends all over the country. As I said earlier in this bio, Life is good indeed... I hope that life is being kind to all y'all, as well.
