Linda's Story
Until 1998, I had never lived outside of Fairfax Co. My husband and I raised our two children in Herndon. Wayne and I moved to Rappahannock Co. in the Blue Ridge Mtns. of Va. in 1998. The 88 ac. of farmland is the same in which Wayne was raised through the age of 13. He subsequently moved to Clifton & it was at Oakton that I met Wayne. I married my high school sweetheart in 1971 thus having celebrated our 47th anniversary on June 26, 2018..
We have proudly raised 2 children: Laura turned 45 in April and Craig was 43 in July. Neither live...Expand for more
more than an hour's drive away from our home in Little Washington, VA. In Warrenton, Va,, we have a 6 yr. old grandson by our daughter & son-in-law, our classmate Bonnie Hayes Webster's middle child. Our son and daughter-in-law live in Charles Town, WV, where they our raising our 14 & 12 yr. old grandsons & 8 yr. old granddaughter.
Wayne retired about 5 yrs. ago from Fairfax Co. Public Schools, Design & Construction but probably works as hard & as many hours on our farm. I am retired after many years as a dental assistant in Fairfax.
