Linda's Story
Life
I will no longer be on this page...you can caught me on Facebook; Linda Buchanan Pirtle. I'm living with my husband Ron not far from our oldest daughter and grandkids and my brother, Bobby. Tanya, her husband Chris and their 7 children (Brandon,21; Echo,18; Dakota,16; Tristan,15; Easton, 6; Addison,5 and Ryder, 2) live in Longview, WA. She is a very busy Mom and as of May 2008 she and Chris became foster parents to 2 little ones under the age of 2. On Nov. 14th Tanya and Chris adopted one of their foster children so I now have 2 granddaughters. Carly and her son (Cary,10) live in Rialto, CA, with her fiance Steve. Carly is a LRN and works in the ER at San Antonio Hospital, she is on maternity leave right now. Carly has had a very difficult pregnancy and is due in May 2009, we are all excited to meet our new grandchild. Baby is here and all is well, Trinity Peyton came into this world May 13th at 7lbs 15oz and 20" long. My passion is walking and hiking; getting back to nature helps me think and clear my mind, all that fresh air and connecting with the animals, I love it up here. ars, putting in new windows, painting and minor repairs, we will evenually replace all the appliances, flooring, etc. I can't wait each year to start my vegetable garden, eating fresh is the best you can get but I always grow too much and end up feeding my family and friends, no one complaining.
School
Graduated from Alta Loma High School in 1969. Looked forward to going to college right after high school but due to health problems and raising a family, I put it off until 1998. Graduating from college was not required in my work but something I needed for myself. I graduated in 2000 with an AA in Accounting Technology from Mt Hood Community College in Gresham, OR.
Workplace
I have been in the accounting/tax business since graduating from high school always enjoying the clients much more than most of the upper management. The work was too easy! But I have never felt so satisfied with work since I became a caregiver for those seniors who need some extra care during the last months of their lives. My accounting business is going very well with tax season my busiest time of the year. I am my own boss, now and it feels too good.
