I was born in Wyandotte, MI and shortly after my dad rejoined the AF and we relocated to Colorado Springs, CO. We lived there for 3 years. He was reassigned to Fuchu AB, Japan in 1960. When we first got there we stayed at Green Park and then moved into a little house on the economy. All I remember about it was it had doors with rice paper and we weren't allowed to play with them and how it shook when a earthquake would hit. After a year or so we moved to Grant Heights and stayed here until our return to the US in Feb 1963. We were assigned to Lowry AFB, CO and that's where we ended up staying. I went to Aurora Schools and graduated from Central in 1973. Shortly after I enlisted in the Air Force and went to Lackland for Christmas and New Years and spent almost the next year in Tech School for Ground Radio Maintenance. Finished up at Keesler in Oct and went to my first duty station right up the road at Columbus AFB,MS. Here I met and married my first husband, Sgt Richard Wilkerson. In 1975 we relocated to San Vito AS, Italy where our daughter Tonia was born. From there we went to Shaw AFB, where we gained another little one, Brian.
