Meet my son, Reed, on the Left, daughter, Kami and me. This was taken 2 1/2 years ago just before her wedding. I went to U of Alaska in Fairbanks from Brent, found it waaaayy too cold when it bottomed out at 70 below that winter and moved to Oregon which reminded me more of the Baguio area. I did go back to Manila for the summer of 69 and can still remember when the warmth of the sun finally penetrated my bones!! Whew! Managed to graduate in 72 then tried to make it again in Alaska, unsuccessfully---the famous pipeline opening was pending and no jobs opened up like they usually did. Worked in Oklahoma for a year for VISTA with Oklahomans for Indian Opportunity then went into the mountains of Washington, a place called Stehekin for a couple years. Met and married the father of those two kids and we moved to the Portland, Oregon area where they were born. Went back to school after teaching pre-school and trying various other ways to bring in some income, and got my degree in Nursing in 86 and shortly after got into the area of Home Care where I have been ever since. In 96, Steve decided to take an opportunity Nike offered and we went to South Korea for a couple years then to the Netherlands in 1998.
