Linda's Story
Hi all! This is a 2017 'update' --
I'm still in Annapolis Roads...
Still married to Michael, still have a spoiled beagle mix, "Mikey" (14 y.o.)...I have one son, Adam, who lives in Chicago and works at Rush University Medical Center - Photography/Media; I long for grandchildren as time ticks away, but Adam is not married and not sure if kids are in his future :(
I often reminisce about old school days and wonder what became of some of my classmates. I loved chorus class and still laugh at memories of Mrs. Ressler and Mr. Kunkle! I remember shooting my rubber bands (braces)from the back of the classroom; I remember in horror, how someone threw eggs at poor Mrs. (Dickey Bird) Smith, the Math teacher, on the last day of sch...Expand for more
ool! I also flinch at memories of P.E. classes. GAWD...I was a wimp! And cried over being called "Skinny Linny" by some of the girls (boy, would I love that now!) I used to leave my gym suit home on purpose hoping I wouldn't have to participate in any sports! I think I also managed never taking a shower ha ha
I also recall the nasty Girl fights at the Good Humor truck at the end of a hot day at school year's end! Hair pulled out and ripped blouses! Must have been over boys?? I loved the 'writing' part of English class, and Biology class fascinated me. It would be fun now to go back in a Time Machine and attend school for a week - looking the best that we looked then....but with the wisdom we've gained over the years ;)
