Linda's Story

Life Hi Everybody, Well.. I live in Huntsville, Ala. I am a Nurse, taking care of old people.I Love to listen to thier stories. I became a Nurse in 1995. I have a Son,2 Daughters and 5 Grandkids. I feel like we are all back at San Jac in my mind, guess we all do. I lived in Mooresville, NC. for 5 years where my Daughter was with Nascar. That was a great time.I miss alot of my Friends at San Jac, can you believe we are getting so old? I lived in Seattle for 8 months, that was a very interesting place, and a very interesting part of my life. It was ok, but I wanted to move back South. I felt like I was falling off the top of the map when I was up there. A couple of our friends live there, Vance Greer, and Bill Brackin. I moved back to Huntsville because it reminds me of Houston when I was growing up. It is a great city, small, but very busy with Redstone Arsonal, and NASA here. Many different types of people.I am Single and that's cool.I am in touch with several of my wonderful friends from San Jac, and I hear from at least one of them everyday. Johnny Harris and I are very close, He is my Best Friend. He and his Brother Billy Harris live in Colorado, and I know you all remember them.It helps keep this Heart happy . I would love to hear from you. May God Bless you all, and keep you Happy, and Healthy, and May Peace be with our Dear Friends that we have lost. School My years at San Jac were the best in my life. I was Jr. Class Officer, with Johnny Harris[who I talk to everyday],Leo Gunnels, and Susan Smith. I was a Photographer on the yearbook staff, was in The Girl's Booster Club, and was a Gaucho. aught Special Ed. kids at San Jac how to bowl, along with some of our other Classmates.I was so proud when I would see our Football Team , and our Cheerleaders all dressed in their uniforms at the Pep Rallys. We had an active bunch of kids during that period of our lives. My favorite teacher was Mr. Potts, but you know most of our Teachers were cool, wonder where they are now? God Bless our wonderful friends that we have lost, and may their souls be at Peace. College I went to Drake Tech here in Huntsville, and earned my LPN in 1995 at 48y/o. Workplace While I was at San Jac I worked at night for KILT Radio as a Jr. D.J. I was known as KILT'S Kitten. I worked with The Wierd Beard, I know you all remember him. After I left San Jac, I moved to Hollywood, Calif. were my 1st Husband and I were singers. Our names were "He and She". We did real well, had a couple of records out, performed with Sonny and Cher, Bob Dylan. The Monkeys, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Dave Clark 5. It was fun, that was Hollywood in the 60's, and it dosen't get any better than that.We moved back to Houston because I was scared of the earthquakes, we sang in a few places there, and wrote songs. Then I worked in Supper Clubs as Manager for about 10 years, then I moved to Dallas where I became an Employment Recruiter for many years, in the 80's. Oh, in the 70's I worked at the old Gilley's in Pasadena for a few years, that was wild. I moved to Huntsville, Ala. where my Dad lives, and became a Nurse, because I knew I could work until I was at least 100. Job security, you know. I am 60 y/o and still working, I would probably go crazy if I retired.
