Life
Hi there. It has been a long while since I connected with any of my old friends from Amherst and it would be so nice to catch up on what has been happening in your lives. I seldom see anyone I went to school with or hung out with. When I first came to Halifax for work, you could walk down almost any street and run into someone from home all in the big city for work.
I worked in Halifax/Dartmouth area for 39 years for the Federal Government in a variety of departments. Dave, my husband, and I are both retired and reside in Beaver Bank NS, have 1 daughter Tara and 3 wonderful grandchildren, Madisyn 13,Skylar 10 and Ethan 3. We both belong to Kinsmen and Kinettes Clubs of Sackville NS helping our community, we love to party and have fun.
My sisters, Debbie and Stacey both came to Halifax and now reside in Sackville.

and, Austrailia, Maui and Hawaii for 6 weeks - the trip of a life time - it was wonderful. We travelled with another Kin Canada couple. It was a trip full of surprises at every stop and we took full advantage of escorted tours to get the full story on New Zealand and Austrialia otherwise we would have enjoyed the scenery but would not have known the history or current story behind what we were viewing. I certainly recommend the trip, but food and incidentals are pricey so be prepared. Bottled water which you need to drink a lot of there due to the heat is dear compared to our standards at $3.50 a bottle. Maui and Hawaii we rented a convertible and drove all the sea coast back roads, what a rush as most of it was winding and single lane with little or no guard rails on the road and we were mostly in mountainous areas. The scenery and the breaching whales were spectacular.
