Linda's Story

My life did not go as I originally planned, but I would not have it any other way! I have lived in the same area most of the time, except when we moved to Montana during the '90s. I loved it but it was a little too far from the beach for my husband. We have been married for over 40 years and have two gorgeous daughters; one is a geologist and lives in Seattle presently. The other is one of the owners of our scaffolding business, and, yes, she sets scaffolding; she is one of the best in the industry. I have been in accounting since I married. My husband is a wacky entrepreneur and keeps me on my toes. We live in Escondido on property we plan to build on eventually, but for now it is our "re...Expand for more
d neck" trailer park and farm. We want to retire soon and travel northward (Canada & Alaska) to do some gold panning. 2016: Haven't retired yet but have traveled lots in the past 4 years, even spent a month in Alaska! We go where the gold is (or sometimes isn't). We own about a dozen gold claims in 4 states. Our older daughter is now running our scaffolding business full time, and the younger one is still playing with rocks, but is currently building a world-wide power grid data platform for Puget Sound Power Co. Got the house built and we are living totally off-grid. It's wonderful! And we have two great-grandchildren! I would like to hear from anyone who might like to get reacquainted.
