Linda's Story
Before attending Clark Junior High School and Crescenta Valley High School, I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I moved to southern California the start of 7th grade and was thrown into making friends as a 12 year old. Very difficult. After high school, I moved to Santa Maria, CA with my parents and brother where I attended Alan Hancock College. Definitely was glad to move north. I have remained in this area since then. I currently live in Los Osos, CA which is near Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo. Love the coast.
I am married to my husband, Galen, for 40 years. We both worked for the State of California, Departments of Mental Health and then Department of Corrections. My career ended as a Human Resource Manager at the California Men's Colony (a prison in San Luis Obispo). I retired in 2004 and have been happily living a great life ever since.
I have two sons: Brent (53) and Scott (51). My oldest son is married with one of my grandso...Expand for more
ns: Taylor (26). My youngest son is married and has my two grandsons: Vaughn (5) and Reid (2 1/2). They keep me young whenever I watch them.
I, also, have two step children, who are like my own children, since they are the same age as my sons. They have all been together since 1980. My step-son: Jayden (52) has four of my grandchildren: Mauro (27); Marcos (21); GayLynn (18) and Andrea (12). My step-daughter: GayLynn (55) is married with two step-daughters. We have many family gatherings.
My husband and I have traveled the world, luckily before the pandemic hit. We were very fortunate to see countries such as Australia/New Zealand; South Africa; South America (Peru, Argentina, Chile, Brazil); Central America; and many countries of Europe. I would love to be able to travel once again.
I am hoping to be able to see many of you in-person at a class reunion in the near future.
