Linda's Story

Life - updated 1/14/2017 Moved to the West Palm Beach area in FL in 2001. I work full time as an Inland Accounting Specialist, for a cargo shipping company and loving it. Our company is one of the top steamship lines providing service to the Caribbean islands. Maybe you have heard of them if you've been on vacation there - Tropical Shipping. I started with them in 2002. Plan to stay until time to retire. Nice to have a job I enjoy, and great bosses, too! I'm a mom of 2 -my son, Darryl, has 2 beautiful children - Tiernan and Gwendolyn. My daughter, Desiree, and her husband, Tim, have a beautiful little boy, Paedyn. They all moved to Texas in 2016, and I miss them all dearly. Thankful for modern technology, that makes it easy to keep in touch! My husband, Rich, passed away on Jan. 1, 2010, after a long battle with numerous health issues. have seen ups and downs, but I am a survivor, and getting life back on track for me. I have 5 pet bunnies, that are my babies. I am actively involved in domestic rabbit rescue. It's become my passion....and you might say I have become a crazy rabbit lady! But,hey - there are far worse things to be classified as! My life revolves around doling out hay and greens, and sweeping up poop, on a very regular basis! LOL I would love to hear from some of my old friends....and I use the term "old" lightly. Reaching this 6th decade is a milestone...we need to make the best of it. Too many of our class have passed on already. It is a sad reality. Enjoy life to the fullest - you never now which day may be your last. So make the most of every day you wake up breathing. There is a reason today is called the "present". It is a true gift.
