Lisa's Story
Life
I can't believe how fast 19 years have flown by. I work for PG Board of Education in the Test Development Office. I have been at the Board of Ed since my senior year in high school (work study). I've worked in different positions here, but still at the Board. Not exciting, I know, but atleast I have the option of retiring at a young age of 47. I got married in 1993 and lived in Lothian, MD for 7 years. In 2000, I had a house built in my hometown. In May of 2001, I had my daughter, Sara. In July of 2005, I had my son, Travis. ons when my son was born. So the first year of his life was filled with therapy appts. (2-4 times a month) and quarterly check ups with Children Hospital. We are no longer in therapy, but we still have visits to Children's. I am very glad to say that we have come a long way in the past 20 months. He's not 100%, but he is doing very well. It's her first year, but, Sara LOVES school and does very well. Just hope it continues - we have a long way to go.
