Lisa's Story
Life
I think I might write a book...maybe I'll wait until I'm famous, then maybe someone would buy it. After all those years of telling everyone that "I'm not Italian", turns out to be true. I'm not Italian ("not that there's anything wrong with that" and, "I never said there was"...) For anyone who has wanted to know the final score, I'm half Austrian (no, not Australian, but Austrian!), and the other half is a good mix of English, Welsh, and Irish (who'dathunkit, I got some Mc in me!). Yep, so my mom didn't lie after-all (lol!). When they told me my birth mum and dad were in the Canadian Air Force I told them they pulled the wrong records - turns out they didn't pull the wrong ones, and they were from Canada (and have the photos from the Air Force to prove it!). I'm a very focused individual who probably suffers from ADHD and doesn't realize. I have a wonderful husband who is my best friend. I have a super-cute daughter who is my BFF, and a cute little doggie. ...Expand for more
I have worked in the transportation industry for (wow!) 23 years. (psh, but I'm obviously not that old so that number must be in error) I love my job, but it is difficult at times (let's just say it's very challenging and has its moments) and I think I got the job down now... I attend a church nearby and have stuck to my roots (I live very near where I grew up, and I think I have more fun than my daughter does at VBS!). In fact, I'm one of the few actual natives still here from what I count around me. I'm doing lots of reading about Gen-X (our generation; the coolest one!) and how abused and forgotten we are/were (lol!). I talk too much, am way too stubborn (I like to call it consistency), and am far too outspoken about probably way too much. I am really hoping one day to write a book, but too busy right now to do so.
