Lisa's Story

Life is good! I have three awesome children, Jimmy, who was going to college on a wrestling scholarship, but came back to be closer to home. He is pursuing his education at EWU and hopes to become a history teacher. He now is into UFC. Nick is also a wrestler, and placed 3rd at high school state this year as a freshman. And my dear sweet Christina, who is a dancer and loves to shop. Have four furry children (dogs), 3 Pugs and one Chihuahua. Have been working as a Realtor for 8 years, and work for Windermere Real Estate. My website is lisasweeney.mywindermere.com Sometimes I create art-pottery when I can find time (that was how I made my living previous to real estate) I loved it. I Enjoy working out, yoga,& pilates, riding mountain bikes, snow skiing, reading a good book, living life, watching my children in their sports, and dance & cheerleading (daughter). Life has been great for the most part, I feel very blessed with my family, who are life's true miracles and have made me very proud! School My biggest inspiration from a teacher came from the art teacher, Mr. Snider. He was a quiet man but very interesting to me. He looked a little like the scientist in the movie "Back to the Future". He invited me to learn a lot...Expand for more
about the art of ceramics. I became addicted to clay, and went on to college to pursue an education in art. This is how I made my living for many years following college, selling my art pottery in galleries and art shows. If it wasn't for Mr. Snider, I may have ended up doing something very different. Infact, I still keep in touch with him at Christmas, through cards, and occasionally a phone call! Other teachers were also cool, like Mr. Pelo. He always stressed being a "DAMN GOOD CITIZEN". That has stuck with me my whole life, so I try and be good a good citizen. I also thought Ms. Wanamaker was very cool, as she was really interested in art and liked creative people and we seemed to relate very well. College College was a total blast! I lived in Pierce Hall on the 5th floor. Didn't take long to meet a whole new group of friends to go to the dining hall with. Outside of the dorms, I spent many all nighters in the art building firing the big gas kiln. It seemed to take on a life of it's own, and I loved the whole ceremony of firing. I loved my professor of ceramics Bill Sage. He was so awesome, he treated me like family. I met so many fun people out in the art building. Some folks that I keep in touch with today.
