Lisa's Story
Life
In 2004, I met a wonderful man, Steve, and in March 2005 we got married. We live in New Jersey in a single family home in a 55+ and active community. Steve's son is now 30 years old. We have two cats who we adore. I retired at the end of last year and am finally free of the constant anxiety that has hounded me my whole life. We travel, read, do yoga and tai chi and take care of each other.
I had a run-in with cancer in 2002 and again in 2012, and 2 of my siblings have died of cancer as well, but on the whole life has been very, very good to me.
School

er with the most fondness and who inspired me the most was actually my 8th grade English (and homeroom teacher), Miss McMullen. Joy McReynolds, who I am happy to say is still a dear friend, and I ran into her a few years after Lee when we were at UT-Austin, and she was attending law school there. I wonder whatever happened to her and her law school dream. Does anyone out there know?
College
I went to college (undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate for a teaching credential) for far too many years. Maybe one day I'll be able to look back on it without gasping and sighing, but until then . . . .
