Lisa's Story
Life
I got married a few years after high school to Ken Stiles Jr. we had two children, Monica, 12 and Marina, 6 and were married for 14 years. We divorced in 2002, starting over again as a single mom terrifies me, but yet I am surviving. Learning to take care of myself and be happy with my life. I live north of San Francisco in wine country, it is beautiful here but very expensive! My father passed last year after a long battle with diabetes, I miss him lots. My mother moved up here by me and we see each other everyday. My 2 brothers and 1 sister are still close to the Valley. I keep busy with my children and dog. I have been taking up golf and salsa dancing. Can't wait to go to the reunion!
School
My biggest crush was C. Lira, although we never spoke, it was a crush from afar. I was way to shy! The teacher that inspired me most was Mr. Dorman, he was nice. I would like to do high school over, I was so shy, I wish I would have participated more in school activities and got to know people better. My happiest memori...Expand for more

College
Sorry didn't make it here, only went to IVC, got two years under my belt but never finished.
Workplace
I have been working since I was 15 years old. I worked at Sherm and Scotty's Deli, making sandwiches, I worked a few months at Mc Donald's, lots of babysitting and cleaning houses, until I got a temporary job at the USDA-Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, where I have been ever since, with a few years working at the postal service in Calipatria, Heber, and Ocotillo offices. I went back to USDA and now I manage 2 counties(Sonoma and Marin) and work with implementing the Federal Farm Bill, I help farmers participate in government programs that ensure the cost of food and fiber remains affordable to US consumers. I grew up in this agency and just recently recieved my 15 year service award. My job has taken me to Northern California, Central California and even to Wisconsin! I will most likely retire with this agency. I like my job a lot.
