Liz's Story

Left High School in 79 and headed for California for about 6 months. Came back to Lower Mainland and went straight to working fulltime. Had my first child in New West in 1983 - Noah beautiful boy if I do say so myself. Continued working and moved to Slave Lake, AB in 1985 ( 3 hours north of Edmonton). In 1988 had my little princess Alyssa, she was born 3 weeks before our community was hit by a devasting flood which covered 75% of our town, we were cut off from civilization for a week before trucks with food ect could get in and I w...Expand for more
as working with Legion then and helping to feed displaced families for about 6 weeks after. I moved back to the Coast in 1989 for my girls health. Moved back to northern AB in mid 90's been here ever since except for 2006 spent in Mission. I have been working steady and have been with the Metis Nation for nearly 12 years in the political and Educational areas. In 2005 I became a Grama and again in 2008, I have 2 geourgeous Grand daughters with more expected in 2010 - 2011. Luv to all Take care of yourself and those your love.
