Lori's Story

Life First of all I would like to say Hello! to whomever is reading this. Thanks for having enough interest and taking the time. I am not a person who is stuck in my high school glory days by any means, but I do have to say that my old friends may be out of sight but not out of mind. It is hard to cram 20 years in a few sentences, but I will try to keep it brief and basic. For a couple of years I was not doing much more than working and partying too much. I lived with my dad for a brief time in Stockton, but living there was miserable to me and I moved back to O.C. I met my husband, Tony, in 1988 at a party of course. And it is just by the grace of God we are still together. We are very happy, I just mean we have gone through a lot together! We have a daughter who is 16 years and a son who is 9 years. With the blessing of my daughter, Amber, my life staightend out right away. I love being a wife and a mother!!!! I am most proud of my family. The biggest life changing event recently has been our move to Prather, CA. I know you have never heard of it. We live in the Sierra Nevada Mtns. east of Fresno. Sort of near Bass Lake and Yosemite. res and just finished building our house a year ago. Tony built it all by himself with just a helper and it is amazing! I don't reccomend building your own home. It was hugely stressful! The entire process took 3 years. We have a bunch of animals: dogs, cats, cockateil, guinea pigs, horses, goats, chickens, I think that is it. We make "red neck" jokes about ourselves now. Like, "You know you are a red neck when you have a goat living in your house." In my defense, it was a baby goat whose momma died and I had to bottle feed her. We do live 2 miles up a bumpy, curvy dirt road, which is like the Indiana Jones ride when we are running late for the bus in the morning. It is beautiful here though. It remindes me of Little House on the Prairie. It is great to be able to have a motorcyle track and a horse arena on our own property. There is a lot to do around here: boating, fishing, skiing, hiking, shooting, mountain biking, horseback riding, motorcycle riding, we even go gold panning though we haven't struck it rich yet :] I do love it even though I thought I would never move away from the beach. I guess thats it for now. I know it was more than a few sentences.
