Lori's Story

I always wanted to be a actress when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a hard way to make a living. As it turns out, they were right. So I turned to writing... first writing and producing news and news features in Louisiana while in college, earning a broadcasting degree. Then writing university documentaries. Then writing direct mail and customer service copy. Then writing user's guides and instructional design (training) materials for software. I now work for IBM, still writing, editing, and designing state-of-the-art user assistance. I may begin a "side" gig, writing for a local production team; they're taking some pilot ideas to A&E and other cable networks, so watch for my name in the credits! Drama is in my spare time... as well...Expand for more
as cooking and hosting/catering parties and events (mine, church, friends, and family). I've considered trying out for The Next Food Network Star, but I'm afraid that doing that full-time would sap my love for it. I've lived on both coasts (several times), 3 Midwestern states, and down south on the bayou. I've traveled to 3/4 of the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii), as well as to Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean. My favorite vacations include cruises, NYC-Broadway, San Diego, Washington D.C.-area, Puerta Vallarta, Oahu, and Maui. I'm still trying to get to Europe, Africa, and New Zealand... and other exotic places. BTW, I'm back in Vegas for the manyth times -- I leave, but I always seem to come back. Drop me a line to catch up!
