Lorri's Story
Life
I see many familiar names on some of the school lists here...I went to various schools in Coquitlam, Burnaby and Vancouver before graduating Centennial Sr. Sec. in 1980. I would love to hear from old school friends, so please feel free to e-mail.
I moved to Edmonton, AB in 1998, and still miss the Vancouver area very much. I'm a proud mom of 3 kids (Andrew who is 12, Kady who is almost 25, and Justin who is 26) and 3 adorable grandkids. I'm employed as a Screen Printer for a bindery in Edmonton, and also own an International art-related business.
Mr. Don Portelance (Art teacher at Centennial Sr. Sec.), Mr. Levang (who taught Art and Photography at Montgomery Junior Secondary), as well as the late Mrs. Pothorn (...Expand for more
teacher from Vanier Elementary) instilled a great love of Art in me, and this is how I ended up creating my business, selling my Art and my Instructional Painting Packets, on my own web site as well as Ebay. My Ebay seller name is Prairieblessings. I am also a Supporting Artist for DELTA (the paint and craft supply company). You can find my Pattern Packets on their website as well. For those that were lucky enough to be one of Mr. Portelance, Mr. Levang, or Mrs. Pothorn's students, you know how passionate they were about art, and how encouraging each was to their students. I will be forever grateful to all of them.
