Louise's Story
Life
Hi,
Married almost 28 years with 3 children. Cody aged 24, Matthew aged 22, and Brooke aged 19. A grandchild on the way.
Went back to school as a mature student. Earned a B.A. from Simon Fraser University. Working for Simon Fraser University as a Faculty Associate training pre-service teachers. Completed a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership.
' Love to quilt and sew in my spare time.
We get home to Goodsoil every few years, for a week or two in the summer. We usually camp out at the lake and visit with extended family.
I don't blow off enough steam.
We tend to work way too much. But I try to find time to quilt and sew. I enjoy spending time with the kids and am looking forward to the new grandbaby's arrival in the spring.

days and we are still here. I guess this community has been good for us. We still have roots in Loon Lake as we still have 3 quarters of land there.
Life doesn't always turn out like I expected. When I quit school after grade 11 to get married, I thought I would spend my life being a farm wife, looking after copious amounts of children and cooking, cleaning, farming and gardening. I didn't see myself getting an education and becoming an educator.
I think that I would like to see all the teachers who thought I wasting a good set of brains by getting married at 17. I would love to tell them that I did both. I am still happily married to the same fellow and I have more education than I ever dreamed possible. I just did it my way. It is never too late and sometimes you just have to wait for the right time and support to get the education you want.
