Louise's Story
Life
Hello everyone! I have now been retired from teaching and school administration for two years. As you can see in my list of communities, I moved a fair amount of times to accommodate my husband's work. I still go in to substitute teach for a few days each month. I live closer to my two daughters and enjoy seeing my grandchildren often. My son lives quite far away so I don't see him as often but he comes to visit regularly or we meet halfway. My husband is still working full time.
I spend my time looking after our home and our yard in the summer. I have had more opportunities...Expand for more
to travel. I read, do many crossword puzzles, go to the gym and this September, I have started taking piano lessons. I meet with friends for coffee. I volunteer with the Cancer Society in my city and am involved with the French Association.
I practice my culinary skills frequently. My family enjoys coming over for Sunday brunch.
Since I have been living close to the mountains, I have had more time and taken the opportunity to explore the historical sites around me. Future plans for us will be to acquire a cabin at the lake for holidays and to live in during the summer months.
