Lyn's Story
Life
I live in Hurricane, UT, five hours south of Salt Lake City and two hours north of Vegas. I'm at the gateway of Zion National Park, two hours from Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon. Beautiful country!!! I left New York in 1974, moved to Utah and got married. I had four children. I divorced in 1989, remarried in 1991. I'm lucky enough to have all my kids living in the same town. My daughter, Heather, 40, and husband Zak, have five children. Rocky 22, was married 01/10/15 to Paige Maag. Shelby 20, just returned from a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon church) in Ventura, CA in January. Treydan,16 is a wrestler, Kael 12, is a football player and Abby 10, loves horses and anything western. (much to her heavy metal dads dismay!) My son, Ryan, 39, and wife Kristine, have three sons. Brendan, 18, wants to be a doctor and is working hard toward that goal. Carter, 16, likes soccer and girls! Jace 14, loves Skim boarding. My daughter, Lindsey 34, is married to Edwin and they have a miracle baby girl,...Expand for more
Frankie. Lindsey has battled Type 1 diabetes since she was 14. We never thought she could have children and she fought hard to have her baby girl. Frankie was born ten weeks early and weighed 2'7. She spent the first two months in NICU and is just perfect. The pregnancy was hard on Lindsey's kidneys and she was in end stage renal disease. However, another miracle happened and on October 1, 2014 Heather donated a kidney to Lindsey and they are both doing great. Lindsey received a pancreas from a donor July 2015 and is doing great! My mother was living here with us since she left New York in 1997 but she passed away on December 18, 2016. It's been very hard for all of us and we miss her. We have a second home in Marysvale, UT (check out marysvale.org) Great place to ride our ATV's. We are involved in our church, love to travel, and spend time with family and friends.
My husband is a Civil Engineer with his own company and I work at a doctor's office. We're just living the dream! Life is good, probably a lot better than I deserve.
