Life
Hi everyone, and thanks for dropping by my profile. It is amazing to see how time has flown! After nearly 22 years I retired from the USAF. During that time I married, lived in various countries overseas, became a parent, finished college and settled on a vocation.
I formally retired in '03 in San Antonio, TX where I had been working in the San Antonio State Hospital as a Clinical Social Worker on the Adolescent Unit. Every day held its own special moments as you can probably imagine. Our daughter deceided to streach her wings (and increase the gray hair I already have) and move to Cali.
Once that occurred we had no real ties to SA and we have been blessed that God opened up doors of opportunity for us to settle on the California Central Coast. From April 2009 till March 2016 I worked at the California Mens Colony (same population different venue) and yes another boring job. ;-) In the fall of 2016 my mom had a stroke and requested I move closer, so we left the beautiful Central Coast and moved back to the South Bay, specificlly San Pedro/Torrance. I continued working with CDCR only within a Parole Unit in the middle of Compton (best job ever!)
In 2019 I retired from the State and eventually landed up now working for the VA with Veterans involved in the criminal justice system (from courts, jails, to prisons, parole or probation). We have moved back to the Central Coast and now live in Santa Maria.
I've been very fortunate to be married since '84 (you do the math). My wife is originally from NYC. Please drop a note when you get a chance as I would love to hear from you.
