Lynette's Story
I have a wonderful husband who I have been married to since 1992 and we have a beautiful 8yr old daughter. We currently live in the Sacramento Region where my husband owns a business. Our daughter is just about to start 3rd grade. I volunteer and substitute at the school district and work from home on several clients who I design and maintain intranet and internet websites.
Fortunately we live within 10 minutes of the lake and within 45 minutes from a really great ski resort. During the summer most of our free time is spent on the lake, my husband and I both love being on the water. He Wake Surfs, Wake Boards and uses a wake skate. I on the other hand Wake Board and have tried to Wake Surf a few times but wont touch the Wake skate. Our daughter knee boards but my husband is hoping to get her up on a wake board this year. During the winter we head up the hill to the snow. This last year was the first time I was on a snow board. I thought because I can wake board and skate board that the snow board would come to me easily. Wrong!! I'm sure I will get it down this next year though. My husband on the other hand grew up on ski run in Tahoe, needless to say it¿s bee...Expand for more
n a long time for him but he picked it right back up without a problem. The ski resort we go to have some great day classes for kids and we hope this next year to get our daughter in a few of them.
Our daughter also participates in tumbling and gymnastics classes. She was originally in gymnastics but we were having a few issues getting past some skills to get to the next level. We decided to put her in tumbling classes to help with the skills. Who new but she now likes tumbling better than gymnastics. We have pulled her from gymnastics for the summer and have doubled up on the tumbling. She is doing great! I¿m not sure if we will go back to the gymnastics at this point. The only bad thing about the tumbling is she is the only student in her classes that is not cheer. She has not shown any interest in cheer and I¿m hoping it stays that way. She loves the water and tumbling so my husband and I are hoping for a diver. We will see, its up to her.
The rest of the family includes 2 dogs. A 16 yr old Pomeranian (yappy house mouse) and a 2 1/2 yr old Spanish Water Dog who spends all her time jogging me to exhaustion and playing on the boat with us.
