Lynn 's Story
I graduated from UB in 1974, and UB Law School in 1978. I worked in the Trust Department at M&T Bank in Buffalo until 1979, when my husband and I moved to Washington,D.C. so he could attend graduate school. I worked in the Trust and Tax Department of the National Bank of Washington until we moved to San Antonio,TX in 1983. I was a subsititute teacher there until we moved to Plattsburgh, NY in 1984. I taught college English there until our son was born in 1989 and I have been a fulltime mom ever since. In 1990 we moved to NY City. In 1995 we moved to the panhandle of Florida not too far from Pensacola. I got hired in Florida by a tutoring service and worked part-time for them and really enjoyed it. I got hired by H&R Block and was able to work for them in Florida until February 2009 when I got divorced and my son and I moved back home to the house I grew up in here in Williamsville. ...Expand for more
It has been a long road home -- I am so very happy to be back, and have made a wonderful life for us here. We have already had Bocce Pizza and a Ted's hot dog! I went up to the dedication of South as a National Historic Site on February 24, 2009. I saw Mrs. Schell, Mr.Calandra and Mrs. McCullough(Miss Rusczyk). I had an absolutely wonderful time at the Class of 1970 reunion in July 2010 which I attended with a dear friend from that class, Pam Onasch, and reconnected with a lot of classmates there -- especially the wonderful man, Terry Hausler, (Class of 1970) who is in the picture with me! Am embarking on another life adventure: Terry and I are building a home on his property in Perrysburg, NY and I will be moving there the end of July 2012. I am looking forward to a slower paced life in the country with the man of my dreams and hope to raise a couple of alpacas starting next year!
