Lynn's Story
Life
I've been working in high tech since 1980. I was married (one of the earliest ARPAnet/Internet marriages and later divorces). I went back to college and got a BA in Journalism in 1990, and almost immediately landed a traffic anchor job in San Jose.
Since then I've been simulatenously holding down radio reporting and tech writing jobs. I'd really like to do broadcast journalism full-time, but until I can find a way to do so and pay my bills, that won't happen.

Workplace
I've been working in high tech since 1980 as a programmer, system administrator, and mostly as a tech writer. Since mid-1990 I have also been working continuously in radio part-time in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Since last August I've decided to try seeing if I can support myself by working full-time in radio. I currently anchor the news on weekends at KLIV in San Jose and work part-time weekdays at Metro Networks in San Francisco producing and anchoring traffic reports.
