Lynn's Story
Life
I have been living in the Boston area since going to and graduating from BU. I have 2 children from my first marriage (13 years) and married to my wonderful husband for 26 years. He has 2 children and we have 7 grandchildren. I did alot of community theater for many years...now I'm into playing cards and enjoying myself. Also big into boating as were my folks.
In 2010 my husband passed away. It was terrible but I have been with my current partner for 9 years and we have enjoyed frequent foreign travels.
What I suppose I purposefuly left out was that, about 20 years ago i started to noticibly lose my hearing in both ears. I have all sorts of up-graded hearing aids since then (lost my music in about 2001 - very sad for me). In any case, my big excitement is that I am now recovering from a cochlear implant on 6/17/05. nfortunately, in 2009, my husband became hospitalized for a year and a week (but who's counting) and he passed away in March '10. i am in the process of trying to rebuild a world which is a rather daunting thing to be doing at our age!
The 40th reunion was the best and reconnected (still) many of us.
We lost Mickie Hyams in 2008 and that will always be one of the saddest things in my life. I will love her alwaya.
NEW NEWS - I have been managing to rebuild my life. A new and very different (from my husband) man for the past two+ years. I have started to X-country ski again, love geocaching (google it) and am very into watching football (not new for me) and watching golf with John.
Newest news: I am happily settling into my new life with John as my true partner. I give power to "go with the flow"! John and I have been together 5 yeas now and happy and traveling as much as we can. Retirement life is great!
The 50th reunion was incredible...full of true love and valuable connection. I can't wait for our 55th.
