Malcolm's Story

Update 2015-11 Firstly, thanks to Rick Yelland for organizing a Steveston 60th party. I passed the three score year mark in September; doesn't feel any different, just means retirement is one year (hopefully) closer. My youngest grandson just turned two, the oldest will be 4 in January. My step-daughter got married in May 2013; finally over the "empty-nest"€ syndrome (well I am, not certain about my wife!) Both my parents are still alive (Dad'€™s almost 93, Mum'€™s 93-1/2); stilling living on their own; hope I inherited the longevity gene! So I'€™m 60 an...Expand for more
d still playing with cars! My Dad keeps asking me when I'€™ll quit doing this; I figure when I'€™m too old and creaky to bend over, crawl under or work above my head. Still have one ground-up restoration to do and two soft (sympathetic) restorations with engine rebuilds to do. Paying attention to my health better than I did 10 years ago, way better than 20 years ago. Got to have enough energy to keep up with the grandsons! Continuing to be alive and well in Maple Ridge; rarely cross paths with fellow grads but do keep up (sort of) on Facebook. Cheers Malcolm

Most of us are fathers and we are all someone’s son. For those of you, whose fathers are still alive, be sure to tell them how much you love them ad how much they mean to you. For those of you who no longer have their Dad

Happy Independence Day to our American neighbours, friends and families.
Merkur progress. Haven't written much of late as have been tied up with yard projects. Have the engine together enough to run but have been chasing electrical problems which ended up beign a single wire error I had made.
