Manuel's Story
Well, after graduating from OLOL in 1956. I attended high schools: Cantwell, Garfield, Roosevelt where I graduated in Jan 1960. After that I attended the University of Cylindrical Levers "Old Screw You". Our mascot was a toggle bolt. Upon graduating from that institution, I got a job as a Wick Weaver for the American Kerosene Company, where I weaved wicks for many years. Upon the company's closing due to the advent of electric lights, I managed to secure employment at the London Velvet Company as a Senior Lint Picker. This was a nice job,...Expand for more
but I found that I brought a lot of my work home with me. To this day, I still find lint in my navel from time to time. After I left London Velvet I started working at a Doughnut company, as a reamer in the Jelly filling department. All went well until I got into a Jam at work and had to leave. Since then I've been living in Southern California and my daily routine is watching the sun come up in the East, waiting about 12 hours then making sure it goes down in the West. So far, everything has been going well.
Wish me luck for the future.
