Marc's Story

Life My life bio huh, well I have enjoyed some degree of sucess in the US Navy since a month after we graduated high school and am now looking forward to retirement at an early age. I am happily married for the last 14 years with 2 children ages 12 and 13 and spend most of my waking moments catering to the needs of my family when I am not deployed. I still enjoy the outdoors immensly and have bought myself a home in the sticks on 7 acres, and for the next few years will call that home until I retire and move onto the 146 acres that I bought in the mountains of WV, I had always dreamed of "moving back home" when my service to this great country was over but after visiting home I have realized that it has just grown up way to much for me. I enjoy hunting and fishing and recently bought a new boat and when I am not traveling with the military or taking my daughter to her softball tourny's (she is on a select travel fast pitch softball team) I spend the rest of my time on the Chesapeake bay or fishing the Atlantic ocean one thing I do love about living in Va is the fishing you can catch just about anything you want to around here and I will deffinatly miss the fishing when I move to the mountains. I still love Cars and anything with a motor my son loves to ride and I spend a lot of time keeping his 4 wheelers running (kids sure can wreak havoc on stuff). So not much has changed about me I guess, other than losing all my hair I just keep it shaved now much easier and not as hot (far cry from what I had in high school) but still enjoy just hjanging out and havin a few beers and talking about the old times god knows I have got a lot of newer old stories to tell about all of my travels. I joined the military to see the world and boy have I done that in the last 17 years I was stationed in Spain for a few years went to Germany,Italy(Venice was a great place to visit before it sinks into the ocean),greece(Corfu was one of the most beautiful places I ever went and would not hesitate to take my fami...Expand for more
ly there on vacation),isreal(Never was a god fearing person and if you are a beleiver then dont go to Isreal you will be more confused and will second guess what you beleive in),turkey( Stayed in the Deadaman hotel and drank and gambled for a week straight what a time),Portugal(Lisbon was beautiful and the people treated americans well),dubrovnick(former Yougoslavia This was by far the most unknown and turned out to be a wonderful place to visit, another that I would take my family to). I have been to the desert numerous times Dubai is an amazing place but with the world situation I would never go with my family but a ton of western influence you can go out to a theatre and the movies are shown in english with arabian sub titles, thought that was funny. and the list goes on and on I have traveled a lot more than I would have ever expected and have loved every minute of it. Now I am ready to settle down and be at home full time and just sit back and enjoy life. College College hahaha now thats a good one, many of you may remember how much I enjoyed high school, enjoyed it so much I think I set a new record for days missed my senior year, should changed my name to Marc Skip school Chiles. So no never went to college but I have gone to a ton of Tech schools and always did well. Military Well I put a bunch of this in my life BIO can just say that I have been from the north atlantic to the pacific ocean and everything in between I have been the coldest I ever have been aboard a ship in the north atlantic to the hottest I have ever been in the Red sea/ Persian gulf (So hot in the gulf that the water intake temperature was so hot you could not get a cold shower, dam water coming intothe ship was over a hundred and twenty degrees). so pretty much like I said before I have seen it all and now its time to slow down. I have been aboard so many ships I have lost count and have set foot on so many foreign soils that I have lost count but I wouldnt trade it for the world it has been a great run.
