Marc's Story
Life
Marc acquired his technical expertise as Technical Director and Lighting Director for the Tennessee ChildrenÃÂÃÂs Dance Ensemble, touring throughout the Mid-Atlantic including the Kennedy Center, the Organization of American States, and the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC. He later toured the Midwest and Deep South with Harry ChapinÃÂÃÂs Cotton Patch Gospel, and gained extensive technical skill as Master Electrician for Opryland USA & the General Jackson Showboat in Nashville.
His experience in the Front-of-House operations began with his assignment as House Manager for the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville, and later as a member of the opening management team for the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Accepting the position of Executive Director for the Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Marc changed the operating paradigm from four-wall rental house, to active presenterÃÂÃÂnegotiating for and promoting over 40 live concert and theatre experiences, including Peter, Paul & Mary, Collin Raye, Bill Cosby, and Lorrie Morgan, and initiated the EmbassyÃÂÃÂs education program.
Marc left presenting the work of others behind when he joined the world-class Ballet and Modern Dance Company, Tulsa Ballet Theatre. As Executive Director, Marc stabilized the administrative and financial base for this internationally recognized Company, launched the new Tulsa Ballet Centre for Dance Education, and was responsible for its season marketing campaigns.
