Marc's Story
Catch 'em up on what you've done and who you are.
I Left Ohio June 1976 as new US Air force medical corpman recuit after graduating from High School. I was first stationed in Cheyenne Wyoming then off for a rude awakening to the real world in Ankara Turkey where I witnessed the Iranian Hostage crisis and the take over f the egyptian embassy. Big shock discovered a bomb outside of our hospital during a riot of chatting slogans yankees go home. In my spare time I went sight seeing in Greece, Egypt, Israel, Ireland, and Germany. Wow are we blessed living here or not. Unless you have been out of this country you would probably say no. I kissed the ground when I came back and saluted the US flag on every plane I saw. Scary time it was.

tronics Technican splitting time between fixing communication and navigation systems on helicopters and jets or flying helicopters as a navigator and crewman doing water and land search & rescue for 16 years. I was in Alaska, Florida, Haiti,Cuba, Bahamian Islands, and Puerto Rica, The best history and geography lesson combined I ever had. Lol. Most memorable event from that era was doing survival training in 28 degree water and can't forget the participating in the rescue of the downed helo aircrew during the Perfect Storm while stationed in Cape Cod Massachusetts. Our base rescued 23 people that day. what a day/night! More coming soon.......... Bye
Biggest problem I have now is remembering I am from Ohio. World travel really does a number on your memory. Will write more later......
