1. Born 1949
2. Grad grammer school (we used to call it that) 1963
3. Graduated high school 1967
4. Went to U of Oklahoma one year when I took them up on telling to to love it or leave it,. I left it.
5. Came back to Chi town, got apartment in East Rogers Park by lake and went to Columbia college downtown. Columbia is a communications school and I majored in film making and photography.
6. Became an official hippie at 19.
7. The Government lost my records so I was never called for a pre-physical or had anything to do with Viet Nam (except protest it.)
8. Graduated from Columbia and as most recent grads who didn't know what to do, hitchedhiked to Dominica in the Windward islands with my camera. Was going try to live with Carib indians on their reservation for a few weeks and take picture. They adopted me and gave me my own hut and I lived there for 6-8 months. (hard to remember with all the rum we drank every day).
9. Not sure why but I decided at some point to leave paradise and come back to Chicago.
10. Got a job as a photo assistant in a commercial studio and ran the place within a year when I quit.
11. Started Rosset Photography in 1975.
12. Also worked as a cook in local restaurants because having yor own business that that age was unheard of and I needed to pay ...Expand for more

13. Met Linda Gerdy in 1976 and a few years later we married.
14. In 81 we had Ben who had an issue at birth and everyone told us he would a) die, b) have severe brain damage, c} have respiratory problems his whole life.
15. No one ever said he would turn out perfect because that's what happened. Was the smartest, atheletic and kind kid every Dad wished for. So much for DR's.
16. Two years later another fella popped out named Jeff. Was and is healthy, handsome, ambitious. Like his Dad.
17. After 22 years (too much to explain here) I didn't want to start to do digital photography (would have taken a 100,000 and classes to figure that one out so I looked around.
18. By accident (and with luck and some smarts) I feel into the Vending industry where I started putting together vending companies who wanted to sell out to their competitors.
19. In 1995 I started Professional Vending Consultants. I had no idea what I was doing, counted understand a company P&L and knew nothing about vending.
20. Today, after selling over 200 vending companies, writing articles etc. most in the country feel I'm the true expertg on how to value and sell one ofn these companies.
21. In 2008 I stopped smoking cigarettes (3 pack a day habit)
22. Got severe pnumonia a month later and haven't felt right since then. But I have never touched another cig and never will.
23. A few weeks ago I got on Facebook and here we are.".
