Margaret (Peggy)'s Story
Life: I moved from Maine to California to go to college, and I spent 11 1/2 years there (San Bernardino for 1/1/2 years and San Diego for 9 1/2 years). I moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to go to graduate school, and lived there for 37 years. Philadelphia was the longest I've lived anywhere. I now live in Collingswood, NJ. I traveled extensively for pleasure and for work. I've vacationed in Rio de Janeiro and Salvador Bahia (Brazil), San Juan (Puerto Rico), Madras and Poovar Island (India), Madrid, and 5 other cities (Spain), Scotland and numerous places in Mexico. I traveled to Kyrgyzstan (in the former Soviet Union). For work as a public speaker, I've traveled extensively in the United States.
I dance a lot (Salsa & merengue; Middle Eastern Folk Dancing), and spend a great deal of time engaging in many cross-cultural activities. I am bi-cultural (Ecuadorian and Euro-American), and have numerous friends from all over ...Expand for more
the world. I spent 13 years with Richard Wayne Currie, and recently divorced from Beto Ribeiro who is Brazilian - too many cultural differences.
I enjoy so many activities, am always active, and enjoy my pets. I did animal rescue and placement for about 50 years. I've found cousins through the internet and sometimes spend my holidays with them.
Workplace: I am licensed as a psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania (License currently inactive due to working exclusively in New Jersey), and as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. I currently have a challenging position. I provide intensive psychotherapy in the home to at risk youth and their parents. I also has maintain a private practice. I have 37 years of experience working in the mental health and substance abuse fields. I traveled extensively for several years providing continuing education to mental health and substance abuse providers and teachers.
