Margaret's Story
Life
After high school, I headed to Austin, where I met my future husband, Joe. We married in 1987 and settled in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where he was born and raised. I worked full-time in IT jobs while finishing my degree in English at University of Dallas, then began working as a writer, which was always what I wanted to do when I grew up. (Although I'm not sure that I particularly dreamed about writing online help and user guides for telecom equipment. But I digress.) our daughters Katie from China in 2006, then Betsy also from China in 2010. Loving being a mom to two active and happy girls! I'm now doing the "stay-at-home-Mom" thing for awhile, but hope to resume writing when I'm no longer sleep-deprived and chasing a toddler around. College
Some call it college, I called it my "world tour of Texas higher education emporiums"--started out at UT Austin, transferred to UT Arlington, then finished up at University of Dallas, where I also was a staff member.
