Margaret's Story
After graduating with my B Mus and M Ed from Western, I accepted a teaching job at Walkerton Public School in Walkerton. I have lived there ever since, met my husband, Joe, and we have 2 children, Janice and Derek.
We survivied the water crisis of 2000 relatively unscathed, although our school had to move to Cargill Community Centre for the...Expand for more
month of June. It was quite an adventure, a one room school house with over 100 kids.
I taught vocal and instrumental music for 25 years and now am the Learning Resource Teacher. I can retire in a year or so which is difficult to believe.
Currently I am the choir director at St. Paul's United Church. It is a nice change directing adults.
