Margaret Taylor:  

Wow, as I think of the last fifty years, I feel so very blessed to have a loving family that includes Larry, three children, one son-in-law, many dogs and grand dogs (alive or in doggie heaven), friends from high school and life, and parents who loved us and left us with beautiful memories of them. After high school I went to San Diego State where I studied business education. The summer before heading off to college I worked at Continental Telephone Company where I met Larry Taylor--and it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT on my part at least. It took me a few weeks to get him to notice me. Our first real date was to Laguna Beach, and we still love to go there. By February of 1965 Larry proposed, I accepted, and on August 28, 1965, we got married at St. Timothy's in Apple Valley. Our honeymoon was one of my first trips out of the high desert (Las Vegas, Bishop, Lake Tahoe, and San Francisco), and we have been traveling ever since. Here is an overview of my life: 1970 Krista was born in Lynchburg, Virginia; 1980 Ashley was born in Orange; 1983 Shawn was born in Tustin. Krista is a project manager for an advertising firm in Costa Mesa and teaches part time for Coastline Community College. (Ashley and her husband Kenny Lakins are professional quarter horse trainers and competitors in Western Pleasure. Google either or both of their names to see photos of them.) Shawn owns The Webster Shop with his partner. He is located in Los Angeles and does all types of wood, metal, and glass fabrication for artists, clothing outlets, hotels, etc. 1975 - Graduated from Cal State Long Beach, BA Vocational Education 1976-2011 Department Chair, Professor Business Computing and English, Coastline Community College, Fountain Valley. Chosen by students as Teacher Of The Year three times. Passions: I love being happy; having an inviting, warm home; entertaining; good friends; hosting Santa Claus party for children; old cars, shopping, traveling, arranging flowers, decorating, collecting art, cooking, and raising dogs--especially boxers. My boxer Hayden and I were a pet therapy team until he passed away three years ago. I adore our kids: Krista, Ashley, and Shawn and am finally over the empty nest syndrome. Places I have lived: Apple Valley, San Diego, Lynchburg, Virginia; Richardson, Texas; Fountain Valley, and Newport Beach Travels: Larry and I always traveled a lot in the states we lived in. As the kids were growing up, we spent summer vacations at the beach, in Mammoth, and in Kona, Hawaii. For years the week before Christmas we skied with Patty and Steve Conwell (Barris) and sometimes Scott and Darel (Lutschinger). We have seen almost all of the United States, cruised to Alaska and Tahiti, and will soon go to the Panama Canal. European travel has taken us to England, France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Italy, Morocco, Amsterdam, Switzerland, Belgium, New Zealand, Aust...Expand for more
