I divorced my second husband in 2012. By chance, I reconnected with someone I knew from highschool; but not well. Now, he has become the love of my life and I did not expect to ever feel this way again. Here I am at age 64, feeling better about myself than I have ever felt or at least in a very long time. While in school, I didn't realize how important those years were. Looking back, I wish I had handled them differently. I was not a joiner; I didn't want to participate in groups that separated themselves into an elevated status. That totally turned me off; still does. But now, I realize I could have joined and still maintained who I was. If nothing else, I am proud of the person I was that wouldn't let myself believe I was better than anyone else but still as good as anyone. In High School I think...Expand for more
