Margaret's Story
It seems incredible that so many years (nay, decades) have passed since high school. Three degrees, two marriages, a family, a busy professional and academic career have filled the years with great happiness and satisfaction. There have been losses and lessons but I have been very fortunate indeed in my family, friends, and colleagues. Completed a BA (English/Classics) then moved on to a Mas...Expand for more
ter's Degree in Librarianship before completing a Ph.D. in Metacognition and Multimodal Literacy. Academics has granted me the opportunity to teach at the University of Alberta, publish, travel, and present at international conferences. But the best part of life is being a proud mom to Patrick, our LGBTQ son, and devoted wife for the last 30 years to Shaun Cariou, the best human being I know.
