Mari's Story
Life
I am recently married to the man of my dreams. We had an amazing honeymoon but now it's back to the real world.
Together Don and I have 10 cats...yes I think we're crazy. We love them all and we have the room so why not.
Since High School I have had some amazing experiences to grow from and have been keeping very busy. When I'm not in school or working I'm traveling. In the past ten years I have been to: New York, Baltimore, Washington D.C., PA, Florida, Georgia, Nashville X2, North and South Carolina, Utah, California, Idaho, Chicago, Minnesota and Vegas. For our honeymoon we visted all of New England and a little extra!
I'm currently working on admission to Grad school to get get my Masters of Social Work. I work as an adolescent counselor in a dual diagnosis rehab center for teens.
College

I got my Bachlors in social science from WSU Vancouver. I am currently working on getting into grad school. I want to get into the UW masters program and it is very competitive.
Workplace
I worked for three years as an advocate with the YWCA. It was rewarding work but I was getting burned out.
I just started at NW Behavioral Healthcare as an adolescent counsler. I'm finding it very rewarding and very educational. It's great to be working in my field.
For a fun outlet I work a couple days at Art House, a scrapbook store in Portland. I'm still there for the creative outlet and cause I love my co-workers so much I couldn't think of leaving.
It's no suprise that I don't have a lot of free time on my hands. But it's actually a great thing right now as Don and I are trying to pay off all debt and pay cash for our entire wedding.
