Maria's Story
That was then... this is now... Miami High seems like so long ago.. yet I have such great memories. After High school I kept going to MDCC and then FIU where I graduated with and Elementary Ed. Degree in 1995. I started teaching and continued at Nova where I earned a Masters Degree in Educational Technology. I now teach first grade bilingual in Miami Dade.

met my now exhusband Michael Garcia (AKA Mikey from KEY). It's a funny story since we both attended Miami High and graduated together yet never met there. We began dating and many years after we married and started a family. We now share two beautiful boys.
It has been a bumpy ride the last few years, but with every fall, I found the strength to get up and learn from it.
