Maria's Story
Life
Life is a little crazy for me!! I have a beautiful son my little sister gave to me. We live in Phoenix, however my family lives in California and Colorado. I'm approaching mid-life and looking forward to the second half!!
School
My biggest crush happened in the 10 grade . . . she was on the Varsity Basketball team and walked (or dribbled) on water!! We shared an orange on the drive home after practice and I was hooked!! I wonder if she ever knew she changed my life forever??? Hmmmm My teacher who was the most awesome lady in the world is Ms. Parris, PE at Uni in Riverside. She kept me in school and kept me out of trouble. My funniest?? Probably coming back to school drunk . . . my zipper broke and my best friend Teri walked me home. I had a blast until I got home, then all hell broke loose!! My happiest moments are playing in the school marching band for 5 years. I've been in parades . . . concerts . . . and had a crazy time with the Marching Band!! Crazy years!! College years would have to be the most outrageous years . . ve her dearly (Ms Melissa Robinson)!! I attended high school prom with my first 'boy-friend' Paul, and had my first real kiss at a slumber pary. I have no regrets . . Would I do it all over again?? Probably not . . . but I sure laugh when I tell the stories!
College
I came out in college . . . talk about being young and nieve. I drank my 20's away . . attended 4 different colleges and universities, but I graduated!! GO LUMBERJACKS!! My favorite classes were about rocks and mountains!! My favorite memory is all about having sex with a beautiful Nursing Professor . . . OMG! Pretty hot times!! Oh yeah . . and that's where I met my partner of 10 years . . let's not go there!! Did I mention I am recently divorced??? :-)
Workplace
My career . . . well, my first job was in 1979 as a Day Camp counselor for Parks and Rec in Highgrove, CA. I was 14 and earned $3.35 an hour. I WAS RICH!! ;-) I have worked with state and federal inmates, homeless families, mentally ill adults, disabled children, and now I work on a local reservation as a CPS investigator. I am truly blessed with opportunities and experiences. Thank you Lord for giving me my life and soul!!
