Maria's Story

Hello, My name is Maria, I have had fun catching up with several people, Tricia, Liz,Ursula, Jackie, Joanne, Just to name a few. Some that i've gotten to chat with and Tricia whom i've known since I was about 7 seeing her again at my surprise 40th! That was a gift that I will never forget, having not seen her since our last years at St. Ambrose, You haven't changed a bit missy!...lol My one and only favorite teacher, Mr. Levins and anyone who had him I am sure would agree. Least fav.? ahem..Sr. Francis, Yes! I did fall...thats why my mittens were wet, so I didn't deserve 2, yes! 2 whacks across my knuckles with a ruler, 2 because she missed the first time?? uh? no you didn't miss, but I will forgive you anyways because you are like older than rocks, And are dealing with God right about now.... Cheyyahhh But I must say., Being a student at St. Ambrose was one of my all time favorite memories and wouldnt change it for the world The craziest thing I had ever done in school was: Although Other people wouldn't concider it crazy, was that we were allowed to go home for lunch and I would not go back. I would go to the bowling alley and stay there until school got out. I was standing by a pinball machine and my friends had the look of fear in their eyes, low and behold, my favorite little nun Sr. Francis was right behing me, I casually dropped my cigarette and was escorted back to school. OY! I had lived in Dorchester until i was 15 1/2 and moved to Medford. I stayed there for a bit until I moved to hydepark when I was 25, I stayed there for 5 years until I moved to New Hampshire, I will die here...lol I had alreadt seen the person that I'd have liked to have seen most after so long..."HI TRISH" But Lydia Rivera would be another, for certain! As far as sports? I am a fairweather fan..RED SOX, PATRIOTS, STEELERS,<---"hubby's fav." And I am not particularly fond of Reality T.V. hasn't anyone noticed that they have all ended up in divorce? Hulk Hogan and Linda, Nick and Jessica, Carmen and Her hubby..what's his name?, Britney and K-fed, feel free to add to the list. Life doesn't always turn out the way one expects, but one of my biggest surprises to date was to be raising a child again after becoming my grandsons guardian and soon to be an adoptive parent. My oldest child will be 24 on his next birthday, and my daughter will be 19 on hers..OY! One thing that i've learned from being a parent is to enjoy them when they're small, the crying, complaining, whinning, diaper changing, nose wiping, butt wiping, lugging around etc... is "A SUNDAY PICNIC" compared to those teen years, 15 and up.."KNOW IT A...Expand for more
LL'S"...Lol...Remember! You Are Not The Boss until they turn about 20 and even then? who knows!...lol If I won $100 million dollars, I'd set my kids up for life, and I would take them on a vacation of a lifetime complete with all their friends Hawaii? oh yea, sounds very good to me! The hubby and I would be on the other side of the Island in our glass encased pool with one way glass to see out only. 2 months sounds good to me. My current age is 42, when i was 12, I thought that people my age now would be in nursing homes., I was so completely gullible. My career aspirations were to go to college and become a Gerontologist! but 2 things stopped that, 1st was that going to school when you have small children is not a good idea, wait on the family before trying to make it in school. and 2nd? not everyone is like my good old grammy, know that before you go into a a major that has alot to do with dealing with old people "The study of the process of aging" I went and became a Home health Aide and learned that very quickly. My first crush turned into a confusing fathers day..."for him" 5 kids, 4 mothers and still owes me child support...lol It's not that i need it, I just want to make his life miserable! I pity him, if he and my son ever meet? "they have not seen each other since my son was 9, I'm not going to save him, I'm just going to let my boy loose on him. :) My best friend would tell you that I'm the second coming...lol... But people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a good and caring person. the one thing about me that would surprise everyone at my high school reunion would have to be that i had some plastic surgery done. But I don't want to tell what I had done...UU...ok?...lol My one childhood memory I will never forget was being chosen to sing Too-Ral-Loo-Ral-Loo-Ral."Irish Lullaby" In 3rd grade, By myself, In front of the whole school, Holding a doll, and wearing a shawl. OMG! How could they let that happen to me? I absolutely stunk! I knew all the words, but a professional I wasn't...lol..hahaha If I had one do-over in life, I would have met the right one first instead of waiting 38 years and dating frogs 1st...CROAK! In 10 years, I hope to be reasonably healthy enough to still look like a young mother for my new son. I'm going to get there on a wing and a few prayers.. Update: I adopted Hayden on November 21, 2009. YES! I am a mommy starting over and I love it! NOTICE: I DID NOT GO TO WEBSTER HIGH SCHOOL, I WAS LOOKING FOR THE SCHOOL FOR A FRIEND OF MINE WHO LIVED IN WEBSTER MASS. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
