Mariah's Story
I hope you all remember to throw your head back and laugh sometimes. Sometimes the world is a stressful place and if you take life to seriously, you could get sick or crazy. Some people do. It just isn't worth it to nit pick about the little things. Think to yourself, "Twenty years from now will anyone remember that my daughter spilled mustard on her new clothes?" Or, "What does it matter if I forgot to put that trash out at the curb on Wednesday." Anyway, there will be another Wednesday next week, and the daughter is far more important than the clothes she wea...Expand for more
rs. I'm just saying. Also, people get really hung up on what everyone else thinks. Isn't it more important that we are a community? Women are especially hard on each other, especially about appearances and how clean the house is or how nice the car is. But really, none of those things are as important as the human beings involved. The Nepali people have a wonderful way of greeting eachother. They say, "Namaste" and they hold their hands together like as if in prayer and take a little bow. Namaste means, "My soul recognizes your soul." Isn't that touching?
